Oh, I am excited, everyone. Tomorrow I’m leaving on a vacation to the American West, namely Colorado, Utah, and Wherever the Road Takes Us. My husband and I plan to visit Arches National Park in southeastern Utah, famous for their natural stone arches and dark skies for stargazing.
STARGAZING. I was born and raised near Chicago, where the eastern night sky is permanently orange from the glow of city lights. I’ve never been out in the middle of nowhere where you can actually SEE the stars. I suspect a lot of people are in the same situation. My stargazing magazine says that an estimated half of all children born in 2012 will never see the Milky Way in the sky. Don’t know where they got that statistic, but I believe it.
Anyway. I’ll be out of contact from May 24 until June 4th, 2012. This means that the Final Fantasy 6 Comic will be on a mini vacation, returning on Monday, June 11th.
Thanks everyone! See you in a few weeks!
ooo, sounds like fun. And yes, I agree, stars! (have been known to drive outside Vegas just far enough for them to become visible again)
Sounds good, I hope you had fun! I’ve always loved astronomy and never quite understood how people cannot find the night sky fascinating.
